Who we are
DashboardCamReviews ("DBCR", "we", "us") operates the website dashboardcamreviews.co.uk from the United Kingdom. We are a dash cam fitting price index. We do not sell cameras, we do not fit them, and we do not process transactions.
What data we collect
Analytics: This site currently runs no analytics and sets no analytics cookies. If that changes, this page will be updated before the change goes live, and it will say which service we use and what it collects.
Quote requests: The form on our fitting page asks for your postcode, your car, what you need fitted, and your email address. We collect it only because you asked us to find you a fitter, and only if you tick the consent box. We use it to pass your enquiry to a vetted local fitter and to email you about that enquiry. We will not add you to a mailing list, sell your details, or email you about anything else. Every email we send carries a one click unsubscribe, and unsubscribing removes you permanently.
Affiliate links: When you click an Amazon affiliate link, Amazon may set cookies on your device under their own privacy policy. We receive anonymised purchase reports (product category, not your identity) for commission purposes.
Contact: If you email us, we retain your message and email address solely to respond. We do not add you to any mailing list.
Cookies
DBCR sets no first-party tracking cookies. The Amazon affiliate programme may set its own cookies when you click through to Amazon. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you. You may also object to processing or request data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email editor@dashboardcamreviews.co.uk. We will respond within 30 days.
Data retention
Quote request details are retained for 12 months from the date you submit them, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first. Contact emails are retained for 12 months after the last reply, then deleted. Your lawful basis for both is consent, and you may withdraw it at any time.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
